The Romanian Government Approves the Budget for 2023, What Changes Does it Make?

The Romanian government has officially announced that it has approved the budget for 2023, and this is because it was thought for the first time to ensure the financing of priority programs for citizens, but there are also many other very good measures implemented for us.

In the Government, we approved the budget for 2023, built for the first time to ensure the financing of priority programs for citizens.

Almost all ministries and public institutions will have bigger budgets next year than in 2022 to carry forward policies and programs in education, research-innovation, health, social assistance, economy, agriculture, transport infrastructure, order and national security.

The package of electricity and natural gas price capping and compensation measures will continue to protect citizens and the economy from rising prices and the effects of the energy crisis.

We continue economic support programs, private and public investments. Next year, investments will benefit from a historic budget - over 112 billion lei, representing approximately 7,22% of GDP - which allows us to continue the important projects already started and start new ones.

We maintain the viability of the business environment through state aid, state guarantees and programs that address both large investors and SMEs. Government measures that have proven their effectiveness this year and have contributed to the growth of the economy - IMM INVEST ROMANIA, "IMM LEASING", IMM INVEST PLUS and its components intended for the production, construction, agriculture, innovation sectors - will continue this year future.

As we have done since taking office, we continue to protect citizens, especially the most vulnerable, to limit the impact of falling purchasing power. We decided to increase the minimum wage, pensions, social allowances and those granted to war veterans and widows.

People with low incomes will be supported through financial aid for the payment of energy bills, allowances and social vouchers to overcome this difficult period.

Education and health are still in our focus. We submit to the Parliament for analysis, debate and approval a responsible budget, through which we further support the economy, maintain jobs and protect citizens from the effects of price increases.
