ECDC Extremely WORRYING ALARM Signal All Europe

The ECDC is sounding an extremely worrying alarm signal for all of Europe, and this is because it brings to the attention of all the 53 countries it oversees the fact that the Coronavirus pandemic is extremely far from ending, and that there is a need of concerted efforts to limit the spread of the virus on the territory of the European Union, and beyond, in 2023.

ECDC talks about the fact that measures are still needed for a constant monitoring of infections at European level in order to discover the new variants that continue to appear, but also that in the reintroduction of travel restrictions for people, previous measures must be taken into account, and limitations must be implemented carefully, learning from the mistakes of the past.

ECDC continues to demand a lot of vigilance among people, and a lot of attention to the infection prevention measures that are still recommended for everyone, and this is because the constant evolution of the Coronavirus still puts pressure on all countries around the world, and still represents a very serious problem at the global level.

"Covid is not over, as global developments clearly show. WHO Europe countries should: -maintain testing and surveillance capabilities, including the ability to detect new variants; ensure those eligible are fully vaccinated; stress measures to reduce the spread, esp. the most vulnerable.

When considering the reintroduction and implementation of COVID19 travel screening measures at this time, WHO countries in Europe should build on the lessons of the past. This includes the need not to discriminate against any particular population or group – but to treat everyone with respect.”
