The Minister of Health has officially announced a new last-minute order, which comes with a series of extremely important measures for the whole country, and this is because the decision was made to request the notification of the authorities for the sale of products that are total substitutes for the diet for weight control purposes.
The Minister of Health speaks below about the alignment of Romanian legislation with the European directives in force, in terms of total diet replacements for weight control, and the measure is an extremely good one for all Romanians who follow procedures of this kind to lose weight, now or in the future.
"ORDER regarding the approval of the Notification Procedure for products that are put on the market as total diet replacements for the purpose of weight control based on art. 7 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1798 of June 2, 2017 supplementing Regulation (EU) no. 609/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards the specific requirements regarding the composition and information applicable to total diet replacements for the purpose of weight control
The Notification Procedure for products that are placed on the market as total diet replacements for weight control purposes is approved, based on art. 7 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1798 of June 2, 2017 supplementing Regulation (EU) no. 609/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council regarding the specific requirements regarding the composition and information applicable to total diet replacements for the purpose of weight control, provided in the Annex which is an integral part of this order.
The Ministry of Health is the competent national authority for implementing the provisions of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1798 of June 2, 2017 supplementing Regulation (EU) no. 609/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council regarding the specific composition and information requirements applicable to total diet replacements for weight control purposes.
This order is published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I. The technical regulations contained in this order comply with the notification procedure provided by Directive (EU) 2015/1535 of the European Parliament and of the Council of September 9, 2015 regarding the procedure for providing information in the field of technical regulations and rules regarding information society services.
