The Minister of Education Announces 2 IMPORTANT Measures for Students of Schools in Romania and Europe

The Minister of Education officially announced 2 very important measures that were taken both for Romanians in Romanian schools and for those attending courses in other schools in Europe, the first one having to do with establishing the calendars for the Olympiads and scholastic and international competitions in our country .

The Minister of Education also talks about the language, culture and civilization programs that can take place also in Great Britain, thanks to the fact that there are no major changes in the education system there, a draft Government Decision, which is in public transparency, explaining more down how programs of this kind could be run.

"The calendars of the Olympiads and national and international school competitions have been published! They are available for consultation. Calendar of Olympiads and international school competitions held in Romania and abroad in which Romanian students participate - 2023. Calendar of national school Olympiads - 2023. Calendar of activities for preparation and selection of national teams for participation in the international Olympics – 2023.

Calendar of National School Competitions funded by ME – 2023. Calendar of National School Competitions – 2023, without ME funding – 2023. National School Sports Olympiad – National competition calendar, school year 2022-2023. National school championships – 2023 – Calendar of sports competitions organized for student athletes registered at educational units with an integrated and additional sports program.

Considering the repeated requests of the Romanian community in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, sent through the Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Romanian diaspora parliamentarians, as well as the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the political opportunity of resuming the implementation of the LCCR project, it is necessary to update HG no. 454/2008, by including the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the list of countries where the Ministry of Education project is implemented.

Given the fact that the Romanian diaspora in the United Kingdom numbers over 1.2 million people, we believe that this project supports the efforts of the Romanian authorities to preserve national identity, by promoting knowledge of the Romanian language, culture and civilization.

From the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it appears that British legislation has not undergone changes that would prevent the implementation of the project, the British national education system being characterized by a high degree of decentralization. According to the same source, the directors of the educational units in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where the course was previously held, agree to resume the implementation of the LCCR project."
