The European Commission is not currently discussing the possibility of sending fighter jets to Ukraine, as stated by some rumors that appeared in recent weeks, and this information comes directly from the official representative for foreign policy, Josep Borell, but it should not to be a surprise.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the European Commission has refrained from sending heavy military equipment, including fighter jets, to Ukraine, and this with the idea of not escalating the conflict, but at least in terms of the first types of weapons, the situation has changed recently because of the major offensive prepared by Russia.
