DSU Romania Announces the Purchase of New Ambulances for Romanians

DSU Romania officially announces the purchase of new ambulances for Romanians in the next period, they have been specially chosen to benefit from the latest technical developments and current medical technologies, more information is available below.

In the last few days, at the level of the Department for Emergency Situations, a commission of specialists met, with wide representation, both within the ambulance services, as well as within the UPU-SMURD and the inspectorates for emergency situations, which aimed to review the technical specifications for the ambulances that will be purchased, so that their equipment is in accordance with all the developments in the technique and current medical technologies.

The establishment of the new technical specifications has been finalized in the "draft" form, and consultations with the market will be started. We specify that at this moment there is an allocation from non-refundable European funds for the purchase of approximately 1200 ambulances, most of which will be directed to the Public Ambulance Services, and the rest to SMURD.

We remind you that the purchase of ambulances could no longer be completed at the end of last year, given the fact that the bidders no longer supported their offers that had been agreed through the framework agreement and did not accept the price increases that became possible through GEO no. . 64/2022, considering that it is more convenient for them to present themselves with new offers for a new procurement procedure, the reasons cited being related to substantial price increases of used materials or crises found in the automotive market (semiconductor crisis), generated by the pandemic of COVID-19 and the delicate geopolitical situation represented by Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
