ANM Meteorological Warnings LAST TIME Romania 5 February

Meteorological warnings from ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, have been issued in Romania for February 5, 2023, and this brings to our immediate attention the fact that code yellow weather phenomena will be encountered in several regions of Romania.

ANM talks about snow that will be blown by winds that will reach speeds of up to 70 km/h, the snow already deposited can be transported in certain regions, and this can substantially reduce visibility for people traveling on public roads.

CODE YELLOW WEATHER ALERT!

Targeted phenomena and affected areas: snow transport, blizzard in the Southern and Eastern Carpathians.

Validity period: February 05, 10 a.m. – February 06, 20 p.m.

In the Southern and Eastern Carpathians, it will still snow locally and temporarily, and the wind will intensify with speeds, in general, of 60...70 km/h, and at altitudes above 1700 m, gusts will exceed 80...90 km/h. There will be periods of drifting snow, blizzards and reduced visibility.

In the southern half of Moldova, the eastern half of Muntenia and Dobrogea, there will be temporary intensification of the wind, with gusts, in general, of 50...70 km/h, so there will be periods of snow transport and reduced visibility.
