The Minister of Defense Announces Official Romanian Decisions IMPORTANT Great War

The Minister of Defense is officially speaking to the Romanians throughout the country about a very important measure that is being implemented at the moment, and this is because he has decided to participate these days in Brussels at a meeting of defense ministers from European countries for to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense explains below why this meeting is necessary at the moment, and this is because a package of decisions will be prepared for a NATO Summit that will take place in Vilnius in the following months, so discussions will take place from tomorrow very important in Brussels regarding the War.

"In the next few days I will be in Brussels, where I will participate in the Meeting of the Contact Group for Ukraine and where the discussions will mainly focus on the continuation of the support offered to Ukraine and the stage of implementation of the decisions adopted at the Summit of the Alliance in Madrid, from June 2022. Also, at the Meeting of Defense Ministers from the NATO member states, we will analyze the security developments, marked by the war of aggression waged by Russia in Ukraine, one year after it started.

At the Meeting of the Contact Group for Ukraine, which will take place in the first part of Tuesday, February 14, Minister Angel Tîlvăr will be accompanied by the Chief of the Defense Staff, General Daniel Petrescu. The meeting of allied defense ministers is on the current schedule and will focus mainly on discussing continued support to Ukraine and the state of implementation of the decisions taken at the Alliance Summit in Madrid in June 2022.

And in the perspective of preparing the decision-making package for the NATO Summit in Vilnius, which will take place in the summer of this year. The ministerial meeting will begin in the evening of February 14 with an informal working session dedicated to security developments, marked by the war of aggression waged by Russia in Ukraine, one year after it started.

The session will have as guests the defense ministers of Sweden, Finland and Ukraine and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. On Wednesday, February 15, the working session of the defense ministers will focus on the deterrence and defense agenda, from the perspective of preparing the decision package of the NATO Summit in Vilnius.

Having presented the stage of development of plans, force structure and command and control arrangements. Also, during this session, issues related to the fair sharing of responsibilities at the level of allies and ways to strengthen the Defense Investment Commitment/DIP post-2024 will be discussed."
