"Romanian-Jordanian military cooperation can be expanded, including in terms of training and exchange of experience in servicing and operating F16 aircraft. We discussed this during our visits to the Royal Jordanian Air Force Headquarters and the King Abdullah II Special Operations Forces Training Center in Amman.

Here I witnessed a series of presentations by Jordanian military specialists regarding existing available training capabilities and specialized training certified to NATO standards. The official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan ended with a meeting with representatives of the Romanian community, which has an essential role in strengthening bilateral relations.

At the headquarters of the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF), the Romanian official had a conversation with Major General Mohammad Hyasat, RJAF commander. During the meetings, he highlighted Romania's openness regarding air force cooperation, including training and exchange of experience in servicing and operating F16 aircraft.

An important item on the agenda of the official visit was substantial discussions with Brigadier General Raed Al-Dora, Commander of the Special Operations Forces Training Center "King Abdullah II" in Amman and a visit to the modern facilities of this elite unit. Minister Angel Tîlvăr also used this opportunity to emphasize the robust cooperation between the Jordanian and Romanian special forces.

Highlighting the very good results of the joint training programs, the participation in the exercises, but also the prospects for the development of future projects. He recalled, in the context, the celebration, on March 1, of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Operations Forces (SOS) in the Romanian Army, welcoming the role of Jordanian military experts in the process of continuous training of these elite fighters in the region."
