The Minister of Health Signed an IMPORTANT Order Affecting ALL of Romania

The Minister of Health signed a very important, last-minute order, which affects millions of Romanians from all over the country, and this is because it brings to everyone's attention the fact that the instruction on the basis of which the state of epidemiological alert was introduced due to the high cases was canceled of the flu.

The Minister of Health talks below about the fact that the order has been applied since the end of last week in Romania, and separately from that he also talks about what is happening from the point of view of the allocation of funds for the construction of new hospitals in Romania during the next years days.

"Seeing the Report of the General Directorate of Public Health and Health Programs no. AR/5.250/2023 and in accordance with the information issued by the National Institute of Public Health - National Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases from 13.02.2023-05.03.2023, from which it follows that at national level the epidemiological risk and the number of cases of flu illnesses is on a downward trend.

pursuant to art. 2 para. (6) and of art. 5 lit. i) from Law no. 95/2006 on health reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, and of art. 7 para. (4) from Government Decision no. 144/2010 on the organization and operation of the Ministry of Health, with subsequent amendments and additions, the Minister of Health issues this instruction.

Starting from the date of entry into force of this instruction, the state of epidemiological alert determined by influenza ceases. Instruction of the Minister of Health no. 161/2023 regarding the establishment of the state of epidemiological alert determined by the flu, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 15 of January 5, 2023, is repealed.

From a technical point of view, I can say that the submitted projects were clear, properly sized and justified from the point of view of medical service needs. In the Ministry of Health we observe a national desire for development and improvement of the medical act.

We are facing a premiere, I think, of historic proportions. The Ministry of Health, headed by Alexandru Rafila, injected over 3 billion lei into the public health system, only in the last three months. Another 23 financing contracts are almost ready for the construction of new hospitals across the country. The total value exceeds 10 billion lei."
