The Minister of Health has signed a very important new order that brings a series of very important decisions for Romanians all over the country, and this is because it reveals what is being established in various localities in the country to improve the health system, and we are talking about permanent centers.

The Minister of Health details in his order how these permanent centers are established, the criteria being disclosed below for all Romanians, and based on them we can get a very clear idea of ​​how the authorities in Romania have thought about this whole process for the good of the Romanians.

"The permanence centers are established based on the following criteria: In the rural environment, in the situation where there are no other medical assistance / medical emergency units in the area, one permanence center is established for a population of at least 5000 inhabitants, according to the existing statistical data at the level of the local administrative units involved.

By exception to para. (1), in isolated, hard-to-reach rural localities, where there is no access to medical assistance services for the population in the area, permanent centers can be established. In the urban environment, in localities with a population of less than 25.000 inhabitants, a permanence center is established, and in localities with a population greater than 25.000 inhabitants, one permanence center per 25.000 inhabitants, according to the existing statistical data at the level local administrative units involved.

The number of the population is composed of the number of inhabitants of the locality where the permanent center is established and the number of inhabitants of the localities surrounding the permanent center. The permanent centers operate with a minimum number of 7 doctor positions and a minimum of 5 medical assistant positions.

The association of doctors in order to participate in ensuring the continuity of medical assistance through the permanent centers is carried out on the basis of an association agreement by the freely expressed will of at least 2 full-time family doctors or one full-time family doctor and one full-time family doctor employed by the service provider family medicine regardless of the form of organization, which can co-opt other family and/or general medicine doctors to form a group of at least 7 doctors.

By exception to the provisions of para. (1), in isolated rural areas, difficult to access and without other medical assistance structures, where there is a shortage of family doctors, as well as in some localities in the Apuseni Mountains and in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, they can be established and permanence centers with at least 5 doctor positions, under the conditions of ensuring the functioning of the permanence center."
