The Minister of Public Education Announces 3 New Last Minute Announcements, Government Decisions for Schools

The Minister of Education has officially published 3 new last-minute announcements with the decisions that were officially taken at the level of the Romanian Government for schools throughout the country, and this is because the Education Laws were adopted, from which an article related to the salary scale, which should start from the average salary in the economy.

The Minister of Education also says that he has a continuous dialogue with the representatives of the cults vis-à-vis the inclusion of religion as a subject for the Baccalaureate, and finally he talks about the lack of tens of thousands of students from the simulations for the Baccalaureate, saying that the set of exams is one optional.

"It is about the article that talked about the salary scale, which would start from the level of the average salary in the economy. It was agreed in the discussion with the representatives of the trade unions, which preceded the government meeting, that this guarantee be introduced in the Salary Law. The political commitment still exists from the coalition, for entry-level teachers to start from the national average wage as a minimum, to be incentivized and to have the best teachers in the classroom.

We have a continuous dialogue with the representatives of the cults, in different forms. There is an institutional dialogue in this regard. Regarding the topics you raised, diversity as defined in the law refers to the particularities of children. It seems to me that it is absolutely normal. I come from Dobrogea, where diversity is a characteristic of the schools.

It seems normal to me that a child who comes from a rural environment should be supported as much as a child who comes from an urban environment, that a left-handed child should be as well stimulated as a child who is right-handed. I believe that diversity is a wealth in education, and the definition in the normative act emphasizes this.

As I said before, the motto of the European Union is "United in diversity". So we do not in any way intend that through the legislative package we refer to what I also saw in the declaration of the cults. Nowhere in the law do we have the phrase, gender ideology. So, from that point of view, I think the laws are clear. Of course, if there are improvements in Parliament, they can be made.

Simulations have precisely this role, to practice children's skills in real exam situations. The subjects are made in such a way that they identify their areas that need more support in the next two months. Of course they are not mandatory. Simulations are an exercise that you may or may not benefit from as a student.”
