Sorin Grindeanu, the Minister of Transport, made a series of very important last-minute announcements regarding the construction of highways in Romania, and this is because he reveals below the visit he made to the A7 Highway, more precisely to Lot 2 between the localities Mizil and Pietroasele, with a length of 28.35 km.

Sorin Grindeanu also talks about a new contract signed by CFR for money available within the PNRR, it being signed for the branch in Craiova, so it is important that investments will be made to improve the railway infrastructure in this area of ​​our country.

"Today I checked the status of the works on one of the lots on the A7 highway. More precisely, on Lot 2 between Mizil and Pietroasele, which will have a length of 28,35 km. The association of Romanian-Bulgarian builders encountered a series of problems, but I expect that, in the next period, they will be solved, and the pace of the works -financed through PNRR- will increase.

It's just one of a series of checks I'll be carrying out on sites. CNAIR and MTI will be close to the builders with everything related to our competence and attributions, so that the pace of work will be alert from now on.

CFR SA signed today the first contract for the renewal of the railway superstructure, financed from the PNRR! The contract signed by the Regional Branch of CF Craiova has a value of 82,13 million lei (without VAT) and aims at the renewal of 21 km of railway between Călinești - Golești - Pitești stations.

As part of the contract, the contractor will carry out work to replace the elements of the superstructure of the track on the Călinești-Golești interval between km 95 and km 107,57, including on lines 1a, 1b, 5 and 6 from the CF Golești station: rail, track devices , parts for track devices, transition coupons, normal and special wooden sleepers (for track devices and bridges).

Bridge sleepers, metal sheeting, embossed and non-embossed for bridges, fully equipped concrete sleepers, elastic slabs for level crossings, small material, crushed stone, construction of the track without joists. The renewal works will also be carried out on the CF Chitila-Golești section, for a total length of 196,7 km, within the 2 lots auctioned by SRCF Bucharest, with a total estimated value of 663,6 million lei (without VAT) . Currently, the procedures are in the evaluation stage of the 4 submitted offers."
