Austria: IMPORTANT Official EU Announcement with BAD News for Romania, Schengen

Austria IMPORTANT EU Official Announcement BAD News Romania Schengen

Austria returns to attention after an extremely important official announcement made by the European Union, through the European Commission, and it contains good news for Karl Nehammer, but very bad news for millions of Romanians who are waiting for Romania's accession to Schengen, because the Austrians' complaints are again confirmed following an EU report on asylum applications.

Austria complains that the number of asylum applications increased exponentially in 2022 compared to previous years, blocking Romania's accession to Schengen because of this, and the European Commission confirms a 40% increase in the number of asylum applications approved within the European Union last year , Ukrainians representing only 2% of the total, so they are not the main beneficiaries.

Austria was not one of the countries that took in a large number of asylum seekers during 2022, Germany, France, Italy and Spain being at the top, but compared to the Austrian population, the large number of asylum applications, also confirmed by the European Commission , largely supports the complaints coming from Vienna regarding the problems facing the EU regarding migration.

"In 2022, EU countries granted protection status to 384 asylum seekers, an increase of 245% compared to 40 (2021). Of the 275 asylum seekers granted protection status in 040 in the EU, 384% received refugee status, 245% received subsidiary protection and 2022% received humanitarian protection.

Compared to 2021, the number of refugee status granted increased by 22%, subsidiary protection increased by 48%, and humanitarian protection saw the largest increase at 72%. The highest number of people receiving protection status was reported by Germany (159.365, 41% of the EU total), ahead of France (49.990, 13%), Italy (39.660, 10%) and Spain (35.765, 9%). )."
