The Minister of Education has decided to officially announce 2 last-minute measures that have been decided and are being implemented for schools all over Romania, parents and students need to know about them, and this is because we are talking about enrollment in preschool and ante-preschool education for the years 2023 – 2024.
The Minister of Education explains below what is the calendar of these registrations, but more than that, he also talks below about the fact that any of the school directors in our country must have a mandatory training course in educational management done before becoming unit managers of education.
"Does your child start kindergarten or daycare in the fall? We put the draft Methodology for enrolling children in preschool and pre-preschool education and complementary early education services, as well as the enrollment calendar for the 2023-2024 school year, into public consultation. Below, excerpt from the draft Preschool and Pre-Preschool Enrollment Calendar for the 2023-2024 school year.
May 23-30, 2023 – re-enrolment of children who attended the educational unit in the current school year; May 31, 2023 – displaying the list of re-enrolled children and the remaining free places after the completion of the re-enrollment stage; June 6-15, 2023 – stage I of the registration process – enrollment of children based on the options expressed by parents/legal representatives and within the limits of available places.
June 16, 2023 – displaying the list of enrolled children and the number of places left free after the first stage of registration; June 19-29, 2023 – the second stage of the registration process – enrollment of children in the places left free after the first stage; June 30 – display of the list of enrolled children and the number of places left free at the end of the second stage of registration.
August 20-30 – the stage of adjustments – the enrollment, on the remaining free places, of children who were not enrolled in any of the previous stages; August 31, 2023 – Displaying the list of enrolled children and the number of free places. The future of our children depends on the decisions taken by the management of the institutions where they learn.
Any change or decision can affect how students feel at school and their chances of a quality education. Through the new Education Laws, we professionally support principals and deputy principals in their first term and ensure quality management with a new measure: the introduction of a mandatory training course in educational management. They will also be supported by a management mentor.”
