UBER Black was launched by UBER in Romania

UBER, the largest ride sharing company in the whole world, officially announced today the launch of UBER Black in Romania, Bucharest being the first city to benefit from this service, with cars from the premium range, and highly rated drivers.

Bucharest, May 11. Uber, the largest ridesharing company in the world, is launching its own premium service in Romania: Uber Black. The product is a significant step towards offering Romanians comfortable luxury rides. 

Uber Black offers passengers the opportunity to travel in state-of-the-art vehicles such as Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volkswagen ID.4 or Tesla Model 3. In addition, with the launch of Uber Black, the company aims to meet the growing demand for services premium ridesharing in Romania, offering passengers a safe, reliable and comfortable option.

The service is only available in Bucharest. In the world, the product can be used in several cities, such as London, Paris or New York.

How does Uber Black differ from other products in the application?

1. Top drivers at every race. Drivers who choose to drive with Uber Black must maintain a minimum rating of 4.85 and be licensed under applicable law. 
2. Ridesharing business class. The service offers premium cars with leather seats, legroom and a superior level of comfort. Passengers can expect the same quality every ride, with models from brands like Lexus or Jaguar.
3. Thoughtful options to give passengers the ideal ride. Passengers will enjoy a ride the way they want. They can customize their journey with just a few button presses in the app to convey their preferences to drivers:
   
   1. Silent Mode: Whether passengers need to answer emails or just want to relax, the ride can be silent at the touch of a button. If instead they prefer a conversation, they can select this option. 
      
   2. Help with luggage: Passengers can let drivers know they need help with their luggage. 
      
   3. Temperature control: passengers can communicate the temperature they want before getting into the vehicle.
4. More flexible pickups. Passengers can enjoy more time to get to their car – 5 minutes before the waiting fee is applied, compared to the 3 minutes available in other services like UberX.

How to ride with Uber Black

1. Command
   1. Open the app and enter your destination in the "Where to?" box. After making sure the pick-up and destination addresses are correct, select the Uber Black option at the bottom of the screen. Then tap on Confirm Uber Black.
   2. Once a car is found, you'll see the driver's photo and car details, and you'll be able to track its arrival at the pick-up location on the map.

2. Traveling
   1. Before you get into the car, make sure the car details match what you saw in the app.
   2. The driver already knows the destination and the fastest route, but if you want, you can choose a favorite route.
3. Get down
   1. You'll automatically pay with your registered payment method, so you can get off Uber Black as soon as you get to your destination. Don't forget to rate the driver.
