The Minister of Health PREMIERES THE LAST TIME Announced Romanian Health System

The Minister of Health officially announced a last-minute premiere for the Romanian health system, Alexandru Rafila signing an extremely important order that establishes the specific rules for teleradiology as a medical service within telemedicine, the PSD Minister announcing this order for some time.

The Minister of Health explains in the rules below what teleradiology means, and why the medical service is an extremely important one within telemedicine, Alexandru Rafila wanting to offer Romanians more modern medical services, one of the initiatives with which PSD Minister impressed many people .

"Within the meaning of these specific rules, within telemedicine, teleradiology is a medical service that consists of: the electronic transmission of radiological images with the help of digital image capture technologies, for the purpose of their interpretation by medical radiology-imaging specialists and establishing a diagnosis .

Exchange of radiological images and patient data between medical entities with different geographical locations, for the purpose of primary interpretation of images or for expert consultation and clinical-imaging review; the way freely assumed by the doctor specializing in medical radiology-imaging or nuclear medicine to practice in the specialty of medical radiology-imaging or nuclear medicine.

Telemedicine in nuclear medicine, in the sense of these rules, refers to the reinterpretation of an imaging examination or obtaining another medical opinion. Teleradiology complies with the provisions regarding the safety and confidentiality of the patient's personal data according to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

And regarding the free circulation of this data and the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as Law no. 190/2018 on measures to implement Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and its repeal of Directive 95/46/CE (General Data Protection Regulation), as amended.

Interpretation of data on a machine's image server does not constitute teleradiology, regardless of the physical distance between the server, the machine and the interpretation point, if the server provides the data directly to the interpretation point without interposing a network connection, or if the machine and the interpretation point are find in the same/same building/group of buildings."
