Minister of Education: LAST-MINUTE Statements with Announcements for All Students of Schools and High Schools

Minister of Education Statements LAST TIME Announcements All High School Students

The Minister of Education has made a series of extremely important last-minute statements aimed at the students of all schools and high schools in Romania, and this is because he brings to their attention what they need to know about the general strike, which is still in full swing , and which still seems to be quite far from the end.

The Minister of Education explains below the fact that the union federations are the ones who have to decide whether they want to end the general strike or not, Ligia Deca saying that there is an interest on the part of the authorities for the situation to be resolved as soon as possible, but this depends on the teachers who they initiated the current strike.

"We support the teaching staff, because they really need a salary scale appropriate to their role in society, but at the same time to ensure the right to education. We believe that all students must be able to return to the classrooms faster, in this sense were the discussions this evening.

We process the data received from the school inspectorates, and make sure that in the meetings, which we have almost daily, with the school inspectorates, we transmit the necessary messages, and we correlate in such a way that the processes are not affected. Each school has a director, a management that has the responsibility to communicate with the parents, to tell them what hours are, or are not, being held.

This cannot be done at a centralized level for thousands of schools, it is most efficient for each school to use its communication channels with parents, with the members, so that each family knows what is the appropriate timetable, considering the situation in which we we know at the current time. I think we have to wait for the answer from the trade unions (n. ed. asked if parents will send their children to school from today).

Let's see what the situation will be, at this moment, they are the ones who have to come up with an answer. I think that the salaries of teaching staff, teaching assistants, and non-teaching staff must increase, clearly, and in this sense, as you know, the ministry has worked together with the trade union federations, on proposals that the Ministry of Labor will discuss when enters the discussion phase on the salary law.

During yesterday, a video conference was held with the representatives of the county school inspectorates/of the Municipality of Bucharest, with which the Ministry of Education communicates permanently to avoid syncopes in the carrying out of the activity aimed at both students and teaching staff, in compliance with the legal framework imposed by the protest staff in pre-university education."
