The last-minute meteorological warning of ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, nowcasting, for June 5, 2023 in Romania, brings to our immediate attention a series of severe weather phenomena that Romanians should know about right now.

ANM talks below about torrential rains in quantities of up to 30 l/mXNUMX, intensification of the wind, accompanied by electrical discharges, or even hail, so that in all the regions below caution is recommended in the journeys we will make.

Validity period: June 05, 12 a.m. – June 05, 22 a.m.

Targeted phenomena: temporarily increased atmospheric instability.

Affected areas: as per text and map.

In the mentioned interval, locally there will be periods of accentuated atmospheric instability which will be manifested by frequent electrical discharges, torrential showers, hail and wind intensifications, in the mountains and in the south and east of Transylvania. In short time intervals (1 – 3 hours) the water quantities will be 20...25 l/sq m and isolated over 30 l/sq m.

Weather warnings and warnings are updated according to the duration and severity of the forecast phenomena.

Weather information is issued when forecasted weather phenomena have the potential to become temporarily dangerous for certain activities, but are otherwise normal for the period in question.
