MApN has officially announced a new MOBEX type exercise organized in Romania, and this is because in the next period this exercise will take place in Harghita and Covasna counties to mobilize and check the state of preparation of the population, the economy and the territory for defense.
MApN explains below what a MOBEX-type exercise means for Romania, and this is because they are essential in terms of verifying the country's ability to respond in an exceptional situation, exercises of this kind having been organized in the past.
The Ministry of National Defense continues the series of routine MOBEX exercises, to verify the state of preparation of the population, the economy and the territory for defense.
After those held in April in Timiș and Caraș-Severin counties, between June 12-16, exercises are planned in Harghita and Covasna counties.
MOBEX-type exercises are planned and organized during peacetime, in order to verify the way to complete the completion with human and material resources of the structures with attributions in the field of defense and national security, to establish the action cohesion between the active military personnel and the reservists in the reserve operational, as well as for the purpose of retraining reservists, by carrying out military training activities specific to each field.
Between June 12-16, in the counties of Harghita and Covasna, the "Mobilization exercise to verify the state of preparation of the population, the economy and the territory for defense - "MOBEX HR-CV-23" will be held.
The exercise is organized in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 355/2009 regarding the regime of the state of partial or total mobilization of the armed forces and the state of war and Law no. 477/2003, republished, regarding the preparation of the national economy and the territory for defense, with subsequent amendments and additions.
This type of exercise, in which structures from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Special Telecommunications Service are also involved, is planned and organized during peacetime, in order to verify the way to complete the completion with human and material resources of structures with attributions in the field of defense and national security, of establishing action cohesion between active military personnel and reservists from the operational reserve, as well as for the purpose of retraining reservists, by carrying out military training activities specific to each field.
