"Today, I had an important meeting with the leadership of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Gendarmerie. We reviewed the main objectives and missions for the next period, insisting on a professional and transparent approach in the activities of the gendarmes. I encourage public clarification of the legal duties of the Gendarmerie to ensure community support and prevent negative interpretations. I emphasized the importance of respecting professional values ​​and ethics in the interactions of gendarmes with citizens, both on duty and in their free time.

Protecting the safety of citizens at public events is a priority, and the support given by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Romanian Gendarmerie in legal steps to improve the service is guaranteed. The debates also included solutions for the shortage of staff, to ensure the efficient performance of all duties in the future.

Today, I had a videoconference meeting with Mr. Adrian Efros, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
