How to protect yourself

We remind you that the bank will never contact you to ask you to confirm usernames and passwords. Instead, we will ask you for personal data to confirm your identity when you contact us.

Avoid accessing links or attachments in suspicious emails. Use an up-to-date security (antivirus) solution

Have you received a fraudulent message on Whatsapp or a Social Media account?

The Social Media account that approached you contains the elements below:

  • It is missing a verification mark (for example, there is no CEC Bank logo) or an inappropriate profile picture and background picture.
  • Try to continue communication through an encrypted channel such as WhatsApp.
  • It is quite new.
  • It offers services that are not in the CEC Bank offer, non-banking.
