Although not mentioned in the official changelog, we can now confirm that WhatsApp is expanding its ability to initiate group calls, allowing users to select up to 31 people before placing a group call.
It is important to note that in previous updates, group calls already supported up to 32 participants. However, users were initially limited to selecting only 15 contacts when initiating such calls.
With the latest updates, users can now start group calls by experimenting with the full capacity of 32 participants right from the start, thus simplifying and improving the calling experience.
If you don't have this functionality yet, note that some accounts may get it in the coming weeks, although this hasn't been indicated in the official changelog.
