Marcel Bolos Announces LAST MINUTE Actions for the 2024 Romanian Budget, Measures for SMEs

Marcel Bolos Announces Actions LAST TIME Romanian Budget 2024 SME Measures

Marcel Bolos, the Minister of Finance, officially announced the first actions taken by the Romanian Government for the budget for 2024, and this because the first discussions took place within the coalition for the implementation of the normative act on the basis of which the budget for the following year will be made.

Marcel Bolos does not limit himself to that, he also speaks officially about the fact that the IMM Invest Plus program is to be restarted in the following months, another 4 billion LEI being allocated for it, which should reach another 5.000 companies from Romania to enjoy funds through this program.

"Yesterday, at the level of the governing coalition, we had a first discussion on the budget for 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, which must reflect what we consider important for the future of Romanians. It is a particularly important responsibility to draw up a balanced, realistic, sustainable and efficient budget, which takes into account the international treaties signed by Romania and the legislation in force. This year has shown us that the working hypotheses are not always the ones that are validated, but for 2024 we will work under a different paradigm.

The principles I expect from the new budget are the following: 1. Emphasize investments financed from European money, the year 2 must be a year of investments; 3. To be focused on expenses responsible for the functioning of the state, which we will keep under careful observation month by month; 4. To be focused on the development of major public services: health/education; XNUMX. To be focused on combating tax evasion and better collection of public revenues.

Have consistent allowances for social assistance entitlements. Yesterday I participated in the XXXI edition of the National Top of Private Companies in Romania, on which occasion I made an important announcement for SMEs. We continue to support small and medium-sized enterprises, by granting guarantee facilities to ensure liquidity and finance #investments.

The ceiling will be increased by 4 billion lei, a measure that will help another 5.000 companies. Even though we had to do a reform and we have to implement fiscal-budgetary measures that are not always to our liking, I continue to promote a balanced approach in which we encourage investments and do not leave the entire burden on the business environment.

Precisely for that reason, we have already approved three packages of measures to reduce spending and adjust the trajectory of the budget deficit, along with the component to combat tax evasion. We will also continue to protect the rate of 10% income tax, 16% profit tax, 19% VAT, and to be with those who invest, because this is the basis for the correct development of Romania."
