Meteorological warnings code orange ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, of the last minute for Romania on November 23, 2023, bring to our immediate attention a series of weather phenomena of immediate severe weather that many Romanians must know about at the moment.
ANM officially explains below the fact that in various regions of the country there will be intensification of the wind with gusts of up to 100 km/h, as well as blizzards, so we are advised to exercise maximum caution in any kind of travel we wish to do to engage.
CODE YELLOW WEATHER WARNING!
Validity period: November 23, 14:00 a.m. – November 24, 18:00 a.m.
Targeted phenomena: intensification of the wind, blizzard snow in the mountains.
Affected areas: as per text and map.
In the mentioned interval, the wind will have temporary intensifications in the Eastern Carpathians and in the Western Mountains with speeds of 60...80 km/h, and in the high area, gusts will exceed 90...100 km/h. From the second part of the night from Thursday to Friday (November 23/24), especially in the mountain massifs in the north of the country, it will temporarily snow and the visibility will be reduced.
Temporarily, the wind will show intensification in the north of Crișana, the north-west of Transylvania and in the subcarpathian hills of Moldova, generally with speeds of 55...75 km/h.
Note: Wind intensifications, with speeds generally of 40...50 km/h, will be reported locally and in the center and east of the territory.

Targeted phenomena: sustained intensification of the wind, blizzard.
Affected areas: as per text and map.
In the Eastern Carpathians (the mountain area of Suceava, Neamț, Bacău and Vrancea counties), generally above 1500 m, the wind will have sustained intensifications with gusts of 110...130 km/h, there will be blizzards, and visibility will be reduced below 50 m.
