Vodafone, one of the largest telecommunications groups in Romania at the moment, has carried out a successful attack in recent months against those from DIGI Mobil, which in recent years has been a leader on the portability market. In recent months, Vodafone has managed to register, on average, substantially more than 20.000 porters in its mobile network, this in the conditions where DIGI Mobil has, theoretically, much lower prices for subscriptions.
Vodafone still remains at a great distance from DIGI Mobil when it comes to porting in the network, but its results in recent months show that the supremacy of the Romanian group can be easily combated. Even if Vodafone registers about a third of the portings that, normally, DIGI Mobil registers every month, we are still talking about hundreds of thousands of customers who reach the company's network every year.

Vodafone has higher prices than DIGI Mobil for the services they offer, everyone knows this, but of course there are also very big differences in terms of the quality of the services that are offered. DIGI Mobil does not have a mobile telecommunications network with the same performance as Vodafone, even if it is somewhat better on the coverage side, the major problems are on the mobile internet side, which has extremely low speeds.
Vodafone still managed what Orange and Telekom failed to do, to attract a very large number of porters to their own network, but all while DIGI Mobil also recorded increases, but not as large. Vodafone struggled for years in the fight with DIGI Mobil to increase the number of gatekeepers in its own network, and as you can see now, things seem to be going in the direction desired by the operator, and this is also very good news for Romanian customers.
Vodafone will certainly continue to offer very good offers for Romanians, to counter DIGI Mobil as much as possible, but whether it will maintain its pace of over 20.000 mobile gateways in the network in 2024 remains to be seen.
