The Minister of Education announces a last-minute official order, which is intended to apply a series of extremely important decisions in schools throughout the country, Ligia Deca wanting the "Healthy Meal" program to be monitored based on efficiency and impact indices, to verify its effectiveness in the country.

The Minister of Education explains below what will be implemented by this order for schools throughout Romania where the "Healthy Meal" program is implemented, and this is because based on them it could be decided to continue the program, or maybe even stop funding for it , if it had no impact.

"We launched in public consultation the draft order regarding the approval of the efficiency and impact indicators of the National Program "Healthy Meal". In the document you will find sample reports, monitoring grids and questionnaires to support schools. In order to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the program, as well as to establish the necessary measures to remedy the deficiencies that arose during its implementation, we have established efficiency and impact indicators.

#Efficiency indicators evaluate the extent to which the quality of products, food services and the degree of satisfaction of program beneficiaries have been achieved, with the allocated resources. The #impact indicators refer to the mid- and long-term evaluation of the benefits of the implementation of the "Healthy Meal" National Program. The National Program "Healthy Meal" (PNMS) is carried out during the course of the school year.

For the direct beneficiaries of pre-university education, with the aim of supporting the access to education of all children, by creating the motivation to study, maintaining the socio-emotional balance, strengthening the well-being and developing the hygiene of the intellectual work of preschoolers and students, as well as by offering a meal healthy to support learning.

The implementation of the "Healthy Meal" National Program contributes to the formation of healthy eating habits, such as the adoption of a diversified, balanced and healthy, respectively sustainable diet - such as reducing food waste, reducing the amount of waste, collecting and valorizing food waste. In order to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the "Healthy Meal" National Program, as well as to establish the necessary measures to remedy the deficiencies arising during its implementation, the Ministry of Education establishes efficiency and impact indicators.

The quality of the products and services offered for the implementation of the "Healthy Meal" National Program is assessed on the basis of a set of tools, consisting of: a) Grid for monitoring the quality of the products and services offered at the level of the educational unit; b) Satisfaction questionnaire regarding the quality of products and services - for students; c) Satisfaction questionnaire regarding the quality of products and services - for parents/legal representatives."
