Marcel Ciolacu announces the support of Romanian products in stores all over Romania, the Government is discussing with the big store chains about ways in which Romanian products can benefit from support in presentation in front of imported products, more details are provided below.


Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu discussed today, at the Victoria Palace, with representatives of local store chains and distribution in the food trade about the solutions through which the Government can support Romanian producers, distributors and retailers alike.

"I wanted to have this discussion, to see what the Romanian state can do for domestic producers, many of whom also have their own sales flow, considering certain problems that they signal to us. We want to give Romanian products equal chances on the market with imported products and even encourage their commercialization in other countries as well", declared Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin Barbu, and the Minister of European Investments and Projects, Adrian Câciu.

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu appreciated this discussion on the topics addressed by those directly involved in the production and distribution of domestic food products as very useful. Among them were the impact of measures such as the 1% tax on turnover or the capping of commercial additions to some categories of products, the de-bureaucratization of interaction with state institutions, the implementation of the RetuRO Guarantee-Return system, access to European funds for trade and distribution , as well as the applicable labor regulations.

The representatives of domestic store chains and distribution in the food trade thanked Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu for the availability to discuss their proposals, which will be analyzed at the level of ministries and institutions with attributions, in order to find the best solutions.
