Romania has a clear plan to continue its process of accession to Schengen, including land borders, in the coming months, and this is because the aim of the authorities in Bucharest is to complete the accession, the Prime Minister, Marcel Ciolacu, stating that the efforts are very far from an end, at least now.
Romania wants to complete the accession to Schengen by the beginning of 2024, so that from 2025 the controls at the land borders will be lifted, something that many people want, something that many people hope for, but something that will not be easy to achieve if Karl Nehammer will obtain a new victory in the parliamentary elections in Austria, from the fall of 2024.
