Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a crucial visit to Kharkiv and its region, highlighting national efforts to counter Russian aggression and restore normalcy to citizens' daily lives.
During the visit, President Zelenski inspected the construction works of the fortifications, emphasizing the critical importance of strengthening the defense against Russian terrorism. "Supporting this direction is essential. Russian terrorists must see the strengthening of the Kharkiv region," Zelenskiy said, expressing his admiration and gratitude to the residents and workers who contribute to the strengthening and support of the region.
Special attention was paid to restoring services and normal life following the Russian attacks. The president held a meeting with officials responsible for protecting the region and restoring essential infrastructure, as well as with local entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in maintaining the economy and community spirit.
In the context of energy challenges, the President highlighted the government's efforts to overcome the current difficulties, including funding proposals and support to ensure better access to electricity. "All the necessary conditions are being created to reduce the electricity shortage," Zelenskiy said, stressing the commitment to ease the hardships of Kharkiv's citizens.
The President's mission also included a meeting with entrepreneurs of the region, during which they discussed the introduction of the Made in Ukraine economic platform and the importance of supporting regional production. "Any business that preserves jobs and contributes to normal life is essential," Zelenski noted, stressing the need for government support to address energy and security challenges.
President Zelensky reiterated the clear aim of Russian aggression to destabilize Kharkiv and the region, expressing Ukraine's determination to protect its cities and communities. "We must make every effort, both possible and impossible, to protect as many of our cities and communities as possible," he stressed, highlighting the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people in the face of challenges.
