Minister of Health Official Measure LAST MOMENT Romania Waiting People

The Minister of Health officially announces a last-minute measure for Romanians all over the country, and this is because the decision of Alexandru Rafila to create a register of diseases, which will be operationalized in the next period with the help of STS, is brought to people's attention. according to the minister.

The Minister of Health explains below why these disease registries are important for Romania, but also how they will be implemented, separately talking about the situation of a hospital in Romania that has no operating money, stating what the managers should do to solve this problem.

"Speaking of the disease registries, we are working very seriously on this and in the next period the National Institute of Public Health will start the public procurement procedures for the creation of this IT platform, with the support of the Special Telecommunications Service. We have some targets, the National Cancer Registry for example, for which there is currently a legal basis, but the registry as such must also exist, along with other registries for the main pathologies in Romania.

I am, I say, in an advanced procedure of drawing up specifications for public procurement, which will allow the operationalization of some of these registers by the end of this year, and certainly for this area of cardiovascular pathologies there will be a response from the Ministry Health.

I hope that we will be much more prolific from the point of view of creating registers for the main pathologies that affect patients in Romania and that will allow us to prioritize health services, on the one hand, and an allocation of resources that corresponds to reality in terms of these pathologies and the people who need treatment.

Including the estimation of medication costs, more or less innovative, cannot be achieved if there are no operational registers. Obviously, this delay that exists in Romania must be solved, and we will certainly solve it by the end of this year. You will see that the first registers will become operational by the end of the year.

If you have three-quarters or two-thirds of empty beds, obviously you will never have money, except for wages. It even seems to me that he has too much money. From where to pay salaries, if he has 40% of beds occupied and 60% empty, because it means that the hospital does not offer medical services. Hospitals must provide medical services. They could provide medical services if they restructure their structure, if they provide services that bring money."
