Minister of Economy Official Measures LAST MINUTE Tourism Before the Summer Season

The Minister of Economy, Stefan-Radu Oprea, in the last meeting of the CTC, emphasized Romania's commitment to accessible and responsible tourism in the summer season 2024. This prioritization comes in the context in which the SMile Kayak Association continues to promote adaptive tourism, offering free tourist experiences to people with disabilities, such as adapted ski camps.

Stefan-Radu Oprea says that this initiative places Romania as a leader in Europe in the field of adaptive tourism, with expansion projects also on the coast, according to the plans of Ionuț Stancovici. In addition to accessibility, social responsibility is central to CCT discussions.

Senator Robert Cazanciuc, the initiator of the Anastasia Law, presented a new TV spot that aims to raise public awareness of the risks of driving without a license or under the influence of alcohol. The message of the campaign is clear: "Stop the person next to you from causing a tragedy."

The Minister of Economy and Senator Cazanciuc asked for the support of the private sector to broadcast this spot in hotels, restaurants and clubs, with special attention during the May 1 holiday and the Easter holidays. The initiative was well received by CCT members, who operate on the Black Sea coast, expressing their willingness to support the campaign.

Also, CCT members committed to collaborate to finalize the strategy document by the middle of the current year, to support Romania's participation in international exhibitions with a customized stand, which could amplify Romania's notoriety as a top tourist destination.

The Minister of Economy maintains that these discussions underline Romania's commitment to offer a safe, accessible and responsible tourist experience, while strengthening the country's international presence in the tourism industry.
