The Minister of Education has published a very important calendar for many students from all over Romania, and this is because Ligia Deca has brought to everyone's attention the methodology by which EURO 2024 vouchers for computers will be awarded in 200 to students who come from families with reduced income.
The Minister of Education explains below what both students and companies that sell computers of this kind need to know, including when it comes to the specifications of the computers, Ligia Deca trying to help both students and families to enjoy the possibility of benefit from these tickets.
"We have published the Calendar for granting financial aid to pupils and students for the purchase of computers for the year 2024 (EURO 200). Submission of applications and files with supporting documents can be done until May 20, 2024. July 26, 2024: display on the website of the Ministry of Education of the final list of beneficiaries; August 26 – September 6, 2024: issuance of vouchers to beneficiaries; September 2 - October 16, 2024: purchase of computers.
The Ministry of Education has been running the "Euro 200" Program since 2004, based on Law no. 269/2004, its objectives being the stimulation of the purchase of computers by granting financial aid established on social criteria, namely the development of skills in the use of IT & C means. In 2023, by Government Decision, the methodological norms for the application of Law no. . 269/2004 regarding the granting of financial aid in order to stimulate the purchase of computers, approved by Government Decision no. 1.294/2004.
Thus, the "Euro 200" Program goes further, with this support going to benefit pupils and students from accredited state or private education, up to 26 years old, who come from families with a maximum gross monthly income of 500 lei per family member. The main innovation introduced by the new decision is the following.
The gross monthly income per family member increased from 250 lei to 500 lei, following the evolution of the consumer price index communicated by the National Institute of Statistics. The model of the voucher was also changed, so that in 2023, for security reasons, the background color of the voucher will be pink. The recommended minimum configuration of the computers for the purchase of which the financial support is given is as follows.
For the desktop: processor with a nominal frequency of at least 3.0 GHz, HDD at least 500 GB or SSD at least 240 GB, RAM type DDR3 or DDR4 at least 8 GB, LCD or LED monitor with a diagonal of at least 18.5" and a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080, keyboard, optical mouse , webcam. for laptop or notebook, ultrabook or equivalent devices: processor with at least 2 cores, RAM type DDR3 or DDR4 at least 8 GB, HDD at least 500 GB or SSD at least 240 GB, diagonal at least 14", minimum resolution 1.366 x 768, WEB camera."
