The Ministry of Defense has decided to publish 3 very important last-minute official announcements for millions of Romanians, in full war in Ukraine, the first considering the training made by the Romanian Air Force in Turkey, to use the Bayraktar drones, which our country buy them.

The Ministry of Defense also talks about the deployment of troops carried out by NATO in Romania between April 15 and 24, a military exercise aimed at the speed with which deployments can be made, and finally we are told about an important meeting with the representatives of the Indian Army.

"Concentration, perseverance, responsibility, efficiency, team! – correspondence from the Bayraktar Training Center, Republic of Turkey Detachment 1 of trainees, who are training to operate Bayraktar TB2 aircraft, have completed half of the period of the Transition to Manufacturer Course. We are continuously training so that, starting this summer, we can support, from the air, the current and future challenges of the Romanian Land Forces.

The Italian Rapid Deployment Corps (NRDC-ITA) carried out, between April 15-24, the exercise Eagle Overland 24 (EAOV24), with the aim of testing border crossing procedures with military vehicles in Slovenia, Hungary and Romania, as well as and to check communications and IT systems. The Multinational Command of the Southeast Division and the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) supported the conduct of the exercise on the territory of Romania.

EAOV24 represented an important step forward in terms of interoperability, both in the planning and execution phases. This exercise was a new example of the collaboration between the Allies in the context of the simultaneous activities carried out by NATO in the region. On Tuesday, April 23, the inaugural meeting of the Romanian-Indian Joint Defense Cooperation Committee was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense.

The works were opened by the state secretary for defense policy, planning and international relations, Simona Cojocaru, the Romanian delegation was led by the deputy head of the Department for defense policy, planning and international relations, gl.mr. Liviu Mihail Iancu, and the delegation of the partner state was led by the Under-Secretary of State from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of India, Vishwesh Negi.

The agenda of the joint committee focused on the international security environment and the perspectives of the parties on security crises in the geographical proximity, as well as issues of common interest regarding the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, based on the Agreement on cooperation in the field of defense between the Government of Romania and the Government of India, signed in New Delhi, in March 2023. During the meeting, the Romanian side highlighted the impact that the Russian Federation's war of aggression in Ukraine has on the security of Romania and the Black Sea region."
