Romanian post, the largest courier company in Romania at present, has decided to officially announce a measure implementing the temporary suspension of international shipments to Iran and Iraq, as a result of the worsening security situation in the region.
Romanian post says that the decision comes in the context of precautionary measures taken by international authorities and aims to protect the integrity of parcels and the safety of postal operations. Customers who intended to send parcels to Iran or Iraq are asked to postpone their shipments until postal traffic resumes, with the Romanian Post immediately announcing the reopening of routes, depending on the evolution of the security situation.
For Israel and other Middle Eastern countries, such as Lebanon, Syria or Jordan, significant delivery delays may occur, caused by airspace closures and restrictions imposed on air carriers.
Romanian Post recommends that shipments to Israel be made only when absolutely necessary, with delivery to take place after commercial flights resume. The company is closely monitoring the situation in the region and will periodically update information on the status of international flights.
In parallel with the safety measures, the Romanian Post continues its plan to modernize and professionalize the services offered to customers. Recently, the company invested over 2,5 million lei in a complete series of uniforms for field employees: vests, scarves, polo shirts, pants and personalized jackets. The new clothing was developed specifically to meet the practical needs of postal workers, combining functionality with a professional image.
This investment is in addition to the amount allocated in 2024, when Poşta Română delivered over 39.000 items of clothing and footwear to employees, worth 5 million lei. Thus, in just two years, the company allocated almost 8 million lei for equipment for staff, demonstrating its commitment to the comfort and safety of its own team.
