Netflix Confirms Release of Impressive Comedy Beloved Stars

Netflix brings to the fore a new original production that promises to redefine the modern romantic comedy, of course after many fan requests, offering: “Too Much.” Created by the famous Lena Dunham, this series captures with honesty and humor the chaos and complexity of dating and relationships in the context of contemporary urban life.

Netflix says that the story follows the life of Jessica, played by Megan Stalter, a workaholic New Yorker who, after a painful breakup, decides to leave the city to meet Felix, a London musician played by Will Sharpe.

Over the course of the 10-episode series, “Too Much” presents an authentic exploration of the realities of married life and the tensions between romantic expectations and everyday truth. Lena Dunham explains that the series is inspired not only by her own experiences in the UK, but also by a desire to show the differences between the fantasies of London and the reality of the city.

“When I started coming to the UK for work… I thought, ‘I want to write something about the experience of being a foreigner here and the fantasies we have about London versus the realities.’”, says Dunham. This perspective gives rise to a series with a unique atmosphere, which captures with humor and honesty both the charm and difficulties of everyday life.

Netflix says that for Megan Stalter, playing Jess was a deeply personal experience. The actress admits that she identified with many of the character's traits, from vulnerability to her tendency to be dramatic, which brought a special authenticity to her performance.

Will Sharpe adds that "Too Much" consciously combines classic elements of romantic comedy with harsher accents, thus creating a complex story that speaks of love with sincerity and depth.

The cast is rounded out by a strong cast, with special guest appearances from notable actors such as Andrew Scott, Kit Harington, Jessica Alba, Rita Ora and Jennifer Saunders, adding charm and diversity to the series. This exceptional cast, along with the partnership with producers at Working Title, underscores Netflix’s commitment to supporting projects with original visions and high artistic quality.

"Too Much" is not just a classic romantic comedy, but a realistic and contemporary reflection of how people meet, connect and try to understand each other amidst cultural and personal differences. London, the city in which the action takes place, is portrayed as a character in its own right, with its own charm and challenges, providing an authentic and captivating setting for the story.

Netflix reaffirms its leadership in original content, offering audiences access to series that not only entertain, but also provoke reflections on modern life. "Too Much" is now available on Netflix and invites viewers to discover a love story with all its imperfections and beauties, in which each episode brings a new perspective on what it means to truly love in the 21st century.
