MuscleNerd face progrese in rezolvarea problemelor cu restore-ul la iOS 5

   Saptamana trecuta MuscleNerd ne-a anuntat ca nu mai putem face downgrade/upgrade la iOS 5 deoarece Apple a modificat sistemul de restore pentru iDevice-urile noastre. Tot atunci MuscleNerd ne anunta ca va incepe sa lucreze la o metoda prin care vom putea face downgrade/upgrade la iOS 5 si iata ca acum avem primele vesti de la el. Se pare ca Musclenerd si un alt membru al Dev Team au avut ceva succes in a face restore la iOS 5 insa deocamdata procesul a functionat numai pentru terminalele care pot fi exploatate cu limera1n, adica toate iDevice-urile lansate pana la iPad 2.

   Daca situatia nu se va imbunatati, este foarte posibil ca Dev Team sa lanseze o metoda de restore la iOS 5 pentru iDevice-urile exploatabile cu limera1n iar iPhone 4S si iPad 2 sa fie compatibile cu ea de indata ce va fi disponibil un bootrom exploit pentru ele. Deocamdata atat a avut MuscleNerd de spus pentru noi, ramane sa vedem ce progrese va face in saptamanile urmatoare. Rezolvarea acestei probleme este mai importanta pentru Dev Team decat lansarea unei solutii de untethered jailbreak deci va mai dura cateva saptamani pana vom avea noua solutie de jailbreak disponibila.

    1) There is no jailbreak (yet) for A5 processor devices (iPad2 & iPhone 4S). It is being worked on. It will be released when it is complete, and tested.

    2) There is no untethered jailbreak for iOS5 yet (except for old bootrom 3GS which will always be untethered when Redsn0w is used)

    3) Ultrasn0w is not (yet) compatible with 5.0.1

    4) There is no software or hardware unlock for baseband 4.11.xx.
    There is no method to downgrade a baseband.
    Software unlocks are probably a thing of the past, seven new basebands have come and gone without any exploits to software unlock them. If you require an unlock buy a FUL phone or a used phone which can be unlocked (Hint: Do some research first, many used phones are sold at cheap prices because they CANNOT be unlocked. Buying one without knowing it can be unlocked is a waste of your time & money)

    5) Flashing the iPad baseband to newer 3GS phones may kill the cellular radio rendering the phone worthless forever.

    6) It is too late to upgrade to 5.0. Apple closed the window

    7) Hashes do not work for iOS5. If you have 4.x.x hashes, you can still downgrade the firmware (not the baseband). Make sure your host file is pointing to Cydia.

    8) There is no way to downgrade, get rid of or fix the GPS issues with the iPad baseband. Just like the warnings said, it is forever. If a method should be found to remove it, we will announce it. There is no reason to keep asking post after post.

    9) If you want to try jailbreaking but have no idea what you are doing: iClarified.com has tutorials, read the blogposts at the top of each page and read some posts asking about problems similar to your issue.

  14. Zaone te rog spune-mi cum fac downgrade de la 5.0.1 la 4.3.5 pe un 3Gs cu baseband de ipad? Am shsh salvat. Un link ceva ca mi-am facut update si nu pot decoda cu ultrasnow. Multumesc.
