We all know that a restore involves hassles not only during the installation but also during the backup. It is not recommended, I also do not recommend you to choose restore from back-up after the restore process is finished, but to choose Set as NEW Phone to avoid unpleasantness caused by corrupt files, incompatible settings and others. There is a method, admittedly a bit complicated, to save your applications, ringtones and many others from your phone to copy them to the new installation. Let's begin!
Step 1
Connect to the phone's system files using ifunbox or another utility via SSH.
Step 2
Navigate to the following addresses, depending on what you want to save:
private/var/mobile/Library – to save Contacts, Mails, Notes, SMS, etc.
private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100Apple – to save pictures and videos for those with 3GS
private/var/mobile/Media/Recordings – for recordings with Voice Memos
Library/MobileSubstrate – for MobileSubstrate
private/etc/apt/sources.list.d – to save the sources added in Cydia
or
var/lib/apt/lists
private/var/stash/Applications.xxx – to save applications installed from Cydia
private/var/mobile/Applications (search in the folders until you find the application)/Documents – for the data saved by the applications installed from the AppStore
private/var/stash/Themes.xxx – for installed themes
private/var/stash/Ringtones.xxx – for Ringtones
System/Library/Audio/UISounds – if you have modified lock sounds, unlock sounds, tones for SMS
Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries – to save the settings of applications that use MB
If what you are trying to save is not properly copied to the computer, set the permissions of the folder from which you are trying to copy to 0777 (only for those who connect via SSH, it does not apply to ifunbox)
Step 3
After restore, select Set as NEW iPhone when you connect the phone and repeat the process to copy your data to the phone by selecting overwrite when asked.
