SOS online backup announced the other day the introduction of a free application for iPhone compatible with the giant online backup site in the AppStore. This application does not differ much from Mobile Me or DropBox, having mainly the same functions: storing phone data on one of the SOS servers with the possibility of accessing them from anywhere in the world through the application. You can listen to music via streaming, watch movies via the same method, you can open important files if you are in the middle of a conference, etc.
I think that the streaming of songs and movies directly from the phone is a little too much for the telephone networks and so overloaded, but the backup of quite important data in a safe and cheap online environment is important. The cheapest subscription to SOS online is somewhere under $1 per month and in my opinion it is worth it. What do you think, would you take something like that?
