You all know too well about the site imdb.com, the place where, at least I, go every time I want to find out something about a new movie, series, release dates of episodes or new movies, data about actors, etc. I've been wondering for a long time why the biggest movie database doesn't release an application for the iPhone, but here they have.
But let's move on to the application itself. After installation, when you open it, you will be asked to select your location, based on the GPS data, so that the application can display data on the movies that are playing in cinemas near you, but unfortunately for Romania this function is not available. In the first screen you have 3 big categories: Movies, Tv, People, each of them having at least 2 subcategories from which you can choose, but the most important of all is Movies where you can choose from: "Showtimes" - where, depending on the location, the movies playing in the cinemas in your area are displayed; "Coming Soon" - which displays the films that are going to appear in cinemas; "US Box Office" - where the receipts for the last 100 movies from the box office are displayed, unlike the site where only 10 are displayed on the page; "Moviemeter" - which displays the most searched movies on imdb.com; and the last "Top 250 Movies" - which displays the most popular movies of all time. Everything is very well arranged in the application, the information is exactly what is on the website and in addition to each movie you have the option to see the trailer, all in all a very good move on the part of imdb.
I like the application and I highly recommend it, you can find it for free in the US AppStore here and in the RO AppStore it is not for now.
