Waveboard update 2.0

23641 Those who have been using Google Wave for some time probably know about the dedicated application for iPhone/iPod Touch, Waveboard. Waveboard brings the options available on the website and the format of the service directly to the iPhone in a much more suitable setting for a mobile phone.

Usually the Google Wave interface loads quite hard, and for some connections this means a long waiting time and sometimes frustration, but through Quickbox, you have the opportunity to see an overview of all the waves in the inbox, marking them those that contain changes. Waveboard is the first iPhone application dedicated to the Google Wave service that offers you push notifications, to find out how you can set the push in waveboard, see the page getwaveboard.com. Waveboard also has an integrated browser to allow users to access links in waves without having to open Safari. The application also has a "sister" for Mac, which brings push notifications to your desktop.

Here are the novelties brought by the 2.0 update:
– Waveboard can now receive push notifications from the Waveboard robot at xwaveboard.appspot.com.

– Quick Inbox shows a read only list of most recent waves directly after applications launch. Optionally, the web view can be loaded in the background.

– Google Account credentials dialog that remembers your log in information. You can choose to be asked for the password each time the app starts.

– Removed the shake feature, because it is not needed any more.

If you are interested in the application, you can purchase it from the US AppStore for $0.99  here and for €0.99 from the RO AppStore here.
