Magnetic Sports Soccer review

Thanks to those from Revo Solutions, game developers skies of glory si FAST, I had the opportunity to test a very interesting and entertaining game called Magnetic Sports Soccer. I know that many of you remember those pieces of wood on which you have fixed either some nails or some boards with springs in the shape of 2 football teams and you pull the spring to hit the ball and score a goal? Well, exactly the same thing happens in Magnetic Sports Soccer, only at a much more advanced level. Basically, you have a mini soccer field where you have 2 teams of 6+1 fixed players and a ball. The players are fixed on the board with the help of a virtual "bow", having around them something similar to a hole in which the ball is fixed before being hit, and to hit it you have to swipe over the player who has the ball, at the moment of swipe- a graduated bar will appear showing the intensity of the blow. The game has an option for single player from which you can choose either Quick Game or Challenge to play against the computer (in the Challenge mode you have to beat the team to move on to the next match) plus a statistics option where you will see the data about the goals conceded, marked gaps, etc., but which are reset when the application is closed. In the phone menu, you also have the Multiplayer option that allows you to play online via Bluetooth or WiFi.

Regarding the control of the game, you have control over the players only when the ball is in their possession, with the exception of the goalkeeper who can only be controlled when the ball is in the opponent's possession, but only until the moment of the shot, which is a bit annoying because sometimes you have very little time to position your goalkeeper. Once the ball reaches the player, select the player and swipe without lifting your finger from the screen, depending on the intensity of the shot your ball will either hit the edges of the board or go out. There is also a "tilt" option that shakes the game table and throws the ball out of the possession of the one who has it, but I couldn't figure out if it is a feature that can be done by the player or if it is automatic. But it's very annoying, especially when you have the ball at the player in front of the goal.

On the graphics side, the game looks pretty good, there are 3 different arenas where you can play the matches, while also having the possibility to select one of the 3 cameras: the one that follows the ball, the one that offers a panoramic view of the stadium and the one that show the field behind your gate.

Depending on how many goals scored you will receive achievements, the game having the option to upload and display them on the OpenFeint.com website as well as to send them to your friends on Facebook.

The game is very entertaining, I liked it a lot and at the price it has it is a best buy for sure and let's not forget that behind it is a team of Romanians, so I highly recommend it.

The game can be downloaded in the US AppStore for $0.99 here and for €0.79 here. These prices are promotional, so take it while you still have time.
