After 20 years of The Simpsons, about 2 feature films and a few video games, the famous family The Simpsons finally arrives on iPhone/iPod Touch screens in the form of arcade games. After a few video games that didn't shine at all in the 90s, don't expect too much from the version for Apple terminals either.
In the version for iPhone/iPod Touch, you play by controlling Homer, whose goal is to discover a mysterious donut in which a USB stick is hidden that holds secret information that the entire population of Springfield is running after. Homer is controlled by means of 2 buttons located on the right side and a joystick positioned on the left side of the screen, Homer being able to make a whole series of shots to knock down the people sent in order to stop him from finding the mysterious donut (I know that sounds strange).
During the game you can find different weapons that you can use for short periods of time or different power-ups that send a member of the Simpson family to help you: Bart who climbs on Homer's shoulders and shoots with a slingshot, Lisa who appears on the screen and kill all the enemies and Marge who throws Homer into an uncontrollable spin that kills all the enemies you point it at.
The game isn't great at all, but if you still want to try it, you can download it for $4.99 from the US AppStore at here, I couldn't find it in the RO AppStore, and finally a trailer with the game in action:
