Starting today, a new update for the PKGBackup application is available in Cydia that will save all the applications installed through Cydia plus all the contacts in the address book to be resynchronized after reinstalling the firmware on the phone. PKGBackup is really a very good application for those who want to make a backup just from a button, but be careful because there were cases when the saves became incompatible/corrupted and after reinstalling the firmware, people were left with the surprise of not could reinstall/recover everything they had saved.
Now let's see what's new:
- Greatly increases the speed of execution of the Backup
- Categories added support to back up the layout of the icons
- Added new buttons such as "Select None" and "Select all" in the package that we want to save for backup
- Backup files now weigh 33% less
- The entry that is created in the contacts it is less recognizable and the UDID is shown in the name of the contact
- Like photos of the contact in the address book icon now appears PKGBackup
The application reached version 3.1.6 through this update and can be purchased from Cydia for $1.99
