YXFlash, my favorite application when it comes to watching movies on the iPhone, which I also recommended in the guide this it was updated today to version 2.0.7 via Cydia. YXFlash is an application for iPhone/iPod Touch that gives you the possibility to play DivX, MP3, WMV, Xvid and Flash files on the iPhone, something that would normally not be possible, if it were Apple. Apart from the fact that you can watch movies, the application lets you listen through the built-in player to any kind of .mp3 song copied to your phone without iTunes.
The update to version 2.0.7 also brings support for MPEG1/2 formats. Recall, .flv (flash) but also for the .avi format, which is one of the most common formats when you open a movie for viewing. Practically, now you don't have to convert the movie at all, you copy it directly to your phone, open the application and you can watch it quietly.
YXFlash comes in a free version that can be downloaded from Cydia but this gives you the possibility to run only DivX/Xvid and mp3 formats, to unlock the other options and implicitly the possibility to run files in the other supported formats you have to pay, the payment which it is done directly from the application.
I for one recommend the application, I always use it when I have to travel somewhere and I want to watch a movie on the way, even in the free version it is very useful.
