50% of iPhone users buy at least one app per month

The beginning of 2010 was the perfect time for companies to request some surveys to see their position in the market, how happy customers are with their products, what activities customers do with these products and much more. The latest of these comes from AdMob, and targets product owners Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, terminals with operating system Android si WebOS(owners of Palm).

The survey carried out on a limited number of people had the following results:

– 50% of the owners of iPhone interviewees stated that they purchase at least one application per month from AppStore, unlike 35% of users of iPod Touch, 24% of users of Palm and 21% of users of terminals equipped with AndroidOS.

- regarding the download of applications by users iPod Touch are at the top of the list with 12 applications per month (10 paid/2 free), followed by users of iPhone with 9 applications (7 free/2 paid) together with the owners of terminals with AndroidOS(7 free/2 paid), on the last place ranking the users of Palm with 6 applications (5 free/1 paid);

- regarding the use of the respective applications, the users of iPod Touch they are at the top of the list with 100 minutes of monthly use, Palm users with 87 minutes, Android OS users with 80 minutes and iPhone users in last place with 79 minutes;

- the most satisfied with the purchase are iPhone users, their percentage being 91%, followed by iPod Touch owners with 88%, in third place are the owners of terminals equipped with Android OS, 84% of those interviewed being satisfied with purchase, in last place with only 69% are the owners of Palm terminals.

The survey was conducted on a fairly small number of people, only a few thousand, and was conducted only on the territory of the USA. From my point of view, it does not represent the real number of purchased/downloaded applications and in any case the number of minutes spent in an application every month.

If Apple is also guided by such surveys, then I begin to understand why the iPhone has so many shortcomings.
