Apple is the leader in the market of applications for mobile terminals with 170.000 applications available in the AppStore

Surely no one is surprised by the fact that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has the largest virtual application store for iPhone / iPod Touch and soon iPad, the extremely large number of available applications being one of the main catalysts of the record sales achieved by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), during this year.

At the moment Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), claims that it has approximately 150.000 applications available for download AppStore, but in reality it would be about 171.722 according to some sources which daily monitors the application introduction/acceptance process by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. As can be seen from the graph above, in 10 months Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), accepted no less than 120.000 applications, reaching 170.000 in March 2010 from 50.000 in June 2009, an increase of almost 150% in a very short period of time, an increase that shows the extremely high interest of developers for the products of TO Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),.

Also from the graph above we observe that Android Marketplace has 30.000 applications, almost 10 times more than in June last year, again an extraordinarily large increase, due to the maturation of the operating system Android and the growth of mobile terminals that use this operating system. The company is in 3rd place RIM which reports approximately 5000 applications for Blackberry compared to the 1030 from March of last year, and in 4th place Palm with 2000 applications compared to only 18 last year.

If we are to take the applications for percentages Palm it would come out on the first place with the biggest increase, but if we were to take the actual number of applications Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), comes out on the first place and to be honest I can be sure that by March next year we will have approximately 350.000 applications if Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will launch a iPhone 4G that will break the market.
