iPhone OS – the most used OS for Internet browsing on a SmartPhone

AdMob, a company from USA specialized in all kinds of analyzes related to almost everything related to the online domain, published an analysis report on Internet traffic, and what interests us is the traffic made from mobile terminals. All data behind this report is based on ad load requests, provided by AdMob, made by the mobile terminals that accessed the sites in the network AdMob or used applications that contained such advertisements.

As you may have already realized, or have glanced at the picture on the left, iPhone OS is the most used operating system in terms of internet traffic, accounting for 50% of the total traffic made on websites or applications that have banners AdMob. It is at a considerable distance AndroidOS with 24% of the traffic and a few percent after that we find Symbian OS with 18%, operating systems from BlackBerry/Microsoft having a much too small share to be taken into account.

So the terminals Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), sums up half of the total traffic made on the Internet, 2 times more than those equipped with Android, and this proves once again that the Cupertino giant is far ahead Google for now, and I for one hope that this difference will become more and more insignificant in the years to come, because ultimately we, the customers, have something to gain.
