Star Pointer is an application for iPhone / iPod Touch with which you can find the position of any planet in our solar system by simply pointing the camera of your phone towards the sun, and the application using the compass (digital compass) si GPSthe phone will determine the position of the planets in the sky.
Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of testing the application, but from what can be seen in the video Star Pointer it has certain fixed points towards which that "target" points, depending on the planet you choose. I don't know if it really calculates the position of each planet starting from the position of the sun in the sky, but it seems like a pretty interesting application for those who want to impress their friends.
