YOU CANNOT JAILBREAK this application!
A few days ago I have you submitted an article in which we announce that iH8sn0w will bring up an application that will automatically save the files SHSH DONATE for iPad/iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 3G, which you will be able to use later to restore to a certain version of firmware, and all without having to do it jailbreak.
Last night iH8sn0w finally launched the application and it works without any problem, but I inform you from now that its usefulness is limited in the sense that those SHSH-s can only be used with a certain specially named program Umbrella, but using this program requires at least average knowledge of Windows and is quite difficult to navigate.
AutoSHSH unfortunately it cannot save files SHSH than for firmware 3.1.3/3.2(iPad) because they are the only ones that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), sign them now, so if you have SHSH for 3.1.3 firmware in Cydia there is no point in beating your head with this application because the restore method using SHSHfrom the Cydia it is much much easier.
If you still want to save yourself SHSHhere's how you can do it:
- Make sure you are connected to the internet and have it installed Java pe PC(if you do not have or you are not sure, press NO when you receive the warning message after opening the application and you will be directed to download Java);
Enter the phone in Recovery Mode because this method will save the SHSHs (you have a tutorial here) and press the Grab my SHSH blobs button.
You will be asked where you want the SHSHs for your device to be saved, select the location and press OK, then let the program do its job. When it finishes you will be notified by a warning message.
After you have saved the SHSH file, you can rest easy because you will be able to use it to restore the current firmware version even if you have not saved them in Cydia.
Again, this process is ONLY required for users of iPad/iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 3G because they are the only ones who need it SHSH-s saved in Cydia.
